Veterinarian | Owner
I was born and raised on a beef farm in the Eastern Townships near Sherbrooke, Quebec. Growing up on a farm is where my initial love of animals started, and my interest in helping them and keeping them healthy grew.
I attended the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph and graduated in 2002. I started working at Vankleek Hill Veterinary Services as well as the Hawkesbury Animal Hospital and the Glengarry Animal Hospital as a mixed-animal veterinarian, immediately after graduation. I became a partner in 2010.
My main interests are preventive medicine; particularly milk quality and calf health. I really enjoy keeping up-to-date on any and everything happening in the veterinary industry. I like to follow the latest research in the field and I attend as many continuing education and training opportunities as I can. I find discussing prevention (or issues when they arise), and working through solutions with clients to be very rewarding. I also enjoy mentoring veterinary students and new graduates – they are the future of vet medicine.
Outside of work, I like to spend my time on my 100-acre farm with my wife and two daughters. I also enjoy travelling, antiques and antique tractors.
